About Myself :- l live in the small township of Dunedoo located in between Mudgee and Dubbo in Central West NSW. I have hit the 50yr+ milestone and life is pretty good. Have finally got to the stage where l can share my passion for the outdoors at a higher level (well, go beyond taking family and friends on daily excursions) and have taken to the net in 2018 to give ‘Bush and City Outdoor Adventures’ an online presence whilst still being able to base myself in my home town of Dunedoo. I’m not into Facebook or twitter because l’d rather be out and about on my bike with my binoculars!!
About Dunedoo:- It’s actually a great small town base (800people) located 4.5hrs from Sydney, 3.5hrs from Newcastle nestled in the rich farming area of the Talbragar Valley. There are a number of accommodation options to cater for solo or group travellers- Hotel, Motel, B&B’s, Caravan park, Showground and of course ‘The Caddy Shack’. It is within an hour’s drive of the Vineyards of Mudgee and the Western Plains Zoo at Dubbo. It is surrounded by National Parks (Warrumbungle’s, Coolah Tops,), Conservation Reserves (Cobbora, Goonoo), Dams (Burrendong, Windamere), Rivers (Talbragar, Macquarie, Cudgegong), Major Towns (Dubbo, Wellington, Mudgee, Gulgong, Coonabarabran), Quaint Small towns and Villages(Coolah, Mendooran, Binnaway), Calendar Events ( Bush Poetry Festival, Arts Unlimited, Agricultural Shows, Markets…) and is an area that has an array of places to visit-on both the tourist and ‘off beat’ trail. Be it a ½ day tour or a full week there is plenty to do either solo or with a group. Check out these links for ideas
